This long article tells plenty about what was transpiring in Prairie du Chien and Crawford County, in general, in the year 1852. On the first page there is a bad typo, however. It is not "S. Gaultier" who married Miss Adrienne Powers to her fiance but "L. Galtier", the pastor of St. Gabriel Archangel Catholic Church.
